Water Damage Restoration
The first thing you should think about in this situation is safety. Do not go into a flooded basement or crawl space if there is a chance of electrical shock, or if you suspect there is biological or chemical contamination. Don't try to reset a breaker or plug in a sump pump while standing in water. Nothing in that area is worth your life or health.
Keeping safety in mind, try to stop the source of water by shutting off the main supply, or getting your sump pump running. You may need to call a plumber to fix a broken pipe, locate your main water shutoff, or fix your sump pump.
Remember, Chem-Dry Express is just a phone call away. We can help you determine the source of water, help you avoid safety hazards, and advise you througout the entire restoration process. We'll even call a plumber for you, if you want us to.
This is a staged question, allowing us to do some advertising on our FAQ page. I could say that we're the best thing since sliced bread, no other restoration company can do what we do, and there is gold at the end of a rainbow. But that wouldn't be completely honest.
The truth is, there are several good restoration companies out there. We know some of them personally. We certainly consider ourselves to be among the best, and have decades of experience and hundreds of successful restoration projects to back it up. We offer our honesty, expertise, and ongoing commitment to help restore your home or business, but we won't be mad if you choose somebody else. Look through our website, chat with us, or give us a call; then you can be the judge. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
The average drying time is about 3-5 days in a standard wood frame structure with drywall; however, the circumstances of each water damage are unique. The amount of time it takes for proper drying of a structure can vary greatly depending upon the size of the affected area, what materials are wet, environmental conditions, the skill and knoledge of the water damage technician, and the methods and equipment used.
Chem-Dry Express accepts cash, personal checks, Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. If you are submitting an insurance claim for your water damage, we can submit the bill to them directly on your behalf. In some cases we may be able to set up a payment plan if you do not have insurance coverage, or are insufficiently covered. Ultimately, by hiring us you agree to pay us.
Upon arrival, our representative will do an inspection to determine areas affected and the extent of damage. The technician will then discuss the drying plan with you, and help you fill out a small amount of paperwork. Once that is done, we will begin the extraction and drying process.
